Hali’s story continues in this second volume of the Scales over Sangrithar trilogy. When the story resumes, Hali and his stalwart companions have left Pel Aesylle in search of the Humadin, a tribal people native to the northern steppes, hoping they can point him towards the long lost earthsong, which holds the key to defeating the God-Emperor. .
Back in the capitol, High Warden Avery Tavistern leads a growing resistance against the God-Emperor.
